Questions? I’m here to make it all simple!
-
How do I book you in?When you’re ready to book, let me know! I’ll send you a contract via email, with the date, general number of services and the price. Once you have sent me back the signed contract, your date will officially be booked.
-
How long does bridal makeup and hair take?Bridal makeup and hair take approximately two hours each, for a total of four hours. Depending on your hair length, thickness and style, I may request that we schedule up to five hours for your makeup and hair. This ensures we have built-in buffer time to drink lots of water, take important phone calls and do all the things you need to do while still being done and ready for your wedding on time!
-
Do I need a trial?I highly recommend having a bridal trial. The trial is an integral part of your wedding day, even though it’s done in advance. It’s your chance to make sure that not only do you choose the most flattering look for your face and hair type but that you can choose within that look the version you love the most. It saves time and stress on the wedding day to have already chosen all the details in advance so you can sit down, relax and know you'll love the way you look.
-
How long are bridal trials?Up to 3 hours for bridal makeup trials and up to 5 hours for bridal makeup and hair trials. I want you to be as calm as possible on your wedding day, with no decisions to be made. We go into detail and give at least two options for every aspect of your makeup and hair. This way you can be 100% confident that you have chosen the best options for you. Also, I usually get feedback that the trial is surprisingly fun, even for non-makeup-lovers!
-
When do you recommend having the bridal trial?I recommend having the bridal trial a month before your wedding day. You will be closest in skin colour (ie how tanned you will be) and skin type (generally we are oilier in the summer, drier in the winter) to how you will be on your wedding day, but it’s far enough in advance that you won’t worry about leaving anything unplanned too close to the wedding. I have done many bridal trials well in advance of the wedding day and quite a few within the week of the wedding - these are my recommendations but I am happy to do the trial when it suits you (subject to availability).
-
Will you travel to me for the trial as well as the wedding day?Travel within Jerusalem is included in the price. If you live in the Central Israel or Netanya area, travel is possible - be in touch with me directly to discuss this.
-
Do you do trials for non-brides?I only recommend trials for brides. If you feel strongly that you would like a trial, be in touch and we can discuss it.
-
What’s the maximum number of people whose makeup and hair you can do in one day?It all depends on how much time you have. Bridal makeup and hair takes four hours overall, bridal party makeup takes one hour per person and bridal party hair takes between 45 and 90 minutes per person. Figure out what time everyone needs to be ready (often the bride needs to be ready earlier than friends and family), what time everyone is willing to start, and we can add up together how many people I'm able to do. My maximum in one day was 9 people so don’t be shy!
-
Is there a minimum required to book you in?I require a minimum of 900₪ in order to proceed with a booking within Jerusalem. I require a minimum of 1,200₪ in order to proceed with a booking in the central Israel and Netanya areas. If you live outside these areas, be in touch with me directly to discuss the minimum.
-
How long does the makeup last?Up to 20 hours later or until you’re ready to take it off (whichever comes first!) I use every product and technique possible to make sure your makeup and hair stay fresh. Selecting the best primers, foundations, powders and setting sprays, I’ve spent years perfecting my techniques to make sure you will look fabulous all night long.
-
Can I cry in the makeup?Absolutely! I’m a big believer in letting out your emotions on your special day. All the makeup products I use are water resistant and long-lasting; just make sure to dab at the tears rather than swipe them away and your makeup should look gorgeous throughout the night.
-
Do you stay for touch-ups throughout the night? The makeup and hair I do is designed to stay all night. I provide you with a touch-up bag for both bridal makeup and hair, including blotting papers, a portion of lipstick and hairpins. I am confident that, with the help of the touch-up kit, your makeup and hair will last. However, if you would like to have me come to your event and either do a hair-style change or touch up your makeup, that is possible. Please see the bridal page for the pricing.
-
What types of products do you use?All products I use are suitable for use on sensitive skin. I like to find the best products from each brand to provide you with the best service possible. Brands I love to use include MAC, Smashbox, Charlotte Tilbury, Temptu, Colourpop, Tarte, RCMA and Guerlain.
-
How long will the hair last?Until the end of the night! I prep and style hair using every trick in the book, including primers, hairsprays, and setting techniques, to have your hair look fabulous all night long. Do keep in mind that if you go out in the rain or get your hair wet in any way, this may impact the longevity of the hairstyle.
-
Do you provide hair extensions? If you would like to wear hair extensions on your wedding day, I would be happy to provide you with some to rent for an additional fee (see pricing). Let me know well in advance, because I need to make sure I can provide you with good shade matches to test at the bridal trial. If you would like to bring your own hair extensions, there is no additional fee to put them in for you.
-
Do you provide decorations, pieces or flowers for the hair? You are welcome to bring your own hair pieces, decorations or flowers. I have a selection of hair pieces and decorations that I bring with me in my hairstyling kit, from which you can choose. There is an additional fee to rent these hair pieces (see pricing).
-
Is there anything you don’t do?Salon-style blowouts for short hair are not within my expertise. If you have short hair and regularly get it blown-out by a salon, I am most likely not the hairstylist for you - I recommend finding a salon nearby to provide that service for you.
-
What are your go-to makeup and hair looks?I love how different shades of gold and bronze bring out the colours in my clients’ eyes - I generally gravitate towards those tones when given the chance. For the skin, I always err on the side of less - a light layer of foundation, coverage of any under eye circles or imperfections, and some gorgeous blush and bronzer on the face to bring a healthy, refreshed look to your skin. A lip that is slightly brighter than your natural lip colour looks great in photos but will still keep you feeling like yourself. For hair, I love a glamorous wave, and depending on how you’re feeling I love adding some twists and braids to the finished look. Fishtail braids are my current go-to but who knows which braid style will be my favourite in another month! In general, I’m a fan of simple, elegant or boho styles that elevate your every-day look to special event-worthy.
-
What payment types do you accept?I accept all the following ILS payments: cash, cheque, bank transfer, bit and Paybox I do not accept credit card payments at this time. If you would like to pay the fee in currency other than ILS, there is an additional charge of 20 USD or the equivalent in that currency.
-
Do you do discounts or group rates? No, I do not offer discounts or group rates.
